About This Tour

This tour puts two of the best days in one. First you climb and swim the 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua. Then you tour the colonial centre of Puerto Plata. Damajagua is the adventure. The city is the calm afterwards. The morning starts with a short jungle hike. You reach the top in about thirty minutes. Then you slide and jump your way back down through limestone pools. Guides carry the safety gear.

Weather Dependency: Access to the waterfalls is subject to river water levels and recent rainfall. The exact number of waterfalls available on the day of your tour may vary to ensure your utmost safety.

Mandatory Footwear: Closed-toe water shoes with a secure grip are strictly required for the Damajagua segment. Flip-flops, Crocs, or open sandals are not permitted.

Health Restrictions: Due to the physical nature of the waterfall hike and jumps, this excursion is not suitable for pregnant guests, individuals with back or knee problems, mobility issues, or severe heart conditions.

Protect Your Valuables: We highly recommend leaving jewelry and non-waterproof electronics at your hotel. Secure lockers are available for rent at the Damajagua base camp to store your belongings while you are in the water.

Modest Attire for City Tour: When visiting historical or religious landmarks during the Puerto Plata city segment, it is recommended to wear dry clothes rather than just swimwear.
