These make the website work and cannot be switched off. They keep your session consistent while you move through a booking, remember your language, and support Google reCAPTCHA, which distinguishes real visitors from automated spam on our forms. Our caching layer also uses a cookie to serve pages quickly.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which tours interest them, and where visitors struggle. These cookies tell us that a page was viewed; they do not tell us who you are. If you refuse them, the site still works exactly as before.
Advertising Cookies
We advertise our Puerto Plata tours on Google and on Meta platforms. The Meta pixel and Google advertising tags set cookies so that we can measure whether an advert led to a booking, and so that we avoid showing you the same advert repeatedly. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge you will find the controls under privacy settings. You can also browse in a private window, which discards cookies when you close it.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the booking process from working. Blocking analytics or advertising cookies has no effect on your ability to book a tour with us.
To opt out of Google Analytics across every site you visit, install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To adjust how Meta uses your activity for advertising, use the ad preferences page inside your Facebook or Instagram account.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies described in this cookie policy are set by companies other than Jey Tours, including Google and Meta. We do not control those cookies, and their own notices explain how they use the data they receive. When you click a WhatsApp link on our site, WhatsApp and Meta may also process that interaction.
Do Not Track
Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed industry standard for responding to it, so our site does not currently change its behaviour when it receives one. We will revisit this if a common standard emerges.
